MICHAEL COLE

Michael Cole is a Sussex-based artist, specialising in oil painting.

Largely self-taught, he uses traditional techniques which have withstood the test of time to create highly evocative and atmospheric paintings with a contemporary edge.

His subject matter is broad, inspired by his travels in the UK and around the world, but the theme that runs through all his work is a fascination with light.

Michael has exhibited at multiple fairs and events including Fresh Art Fair, Sussex Art Fair, Windsor Art Fair, Manchester Art Fair, Bath Art Fair, Brighton Art Fair and Art Surrey. He has also exhibited and sold work at several galleries including Orleans House, London and Gigglewick, Worthing.

Recent work has included commissions for private collections and high-profile clients, including seven paintings for BP's prestigious Centenary collection.
